VIP Bottles

Ever wanted your party to stand out from the rest? Put something on really special that makes everyone go WOOOOW? Well, how about some super exclusive drinks that you cant find just anywhere. I have been in contact with 1 of the owners and creators of VIP bottles UK, Bhupinder Gill. I thought I would get the low down on what it is they are actually providing and why we should go to them for our party drinks..

Where did the idea come from:
The idea came about around 8 months ago between myself and a friend. We were brainstorming ideas for a business we were passionate about and thought of providing exclusive drinks online. To be honest we were going towards a different path but it was too saturated so we decided to look elsewhere. We both know our drinks pretty well and are into the party culture, the market was not so saturated so we decided to go in the exclusive drinks direction.

How long have you been around:
Well we came up with idea around May of last year and it took several months to have everything set up, our actual launch was October 1st 2014. Since then we have seen a massive growth and demand for the exclusive drinks that you cannot buy elsewhere.

What makes you successful and different to other businesses:
We try to provide something different to other companies who may be doing something similar to us. We regularly have competitions on our social channels where you can win a free bottle and we listen to our customers ideas. You are able to post a cocktail that you love and we will then have it featured on our website. Regular customers are also eligible for free shipping on orders. In terms of pricing we are very confident that our prices are very competitive if not cheaper than the rest, this is down to streamlining our processes to make them as smooth as possible.

Why should people purchase from yourselves and not local supermarkets:
As a business our mission statement is to provide exclusive drinks, therefore the drinks that we provide are not available from supermarkets. They are available from specialists stores or e-shops (our competitors), examples are Ciroc Pineapple, Pinnacle Vodka, Remy Martin V, etc. Please see our website for more drinks. However as I stated earlier our prices are very competitive and this is when comparing to large supermarkets as well. There is the convenience factor when ordering from online, the e-grocery shopping has seen a massive boost in sales and we can see this trend flowing into the drinks industry.

Plans for the future:
We have so many plans for the future, this includes sourcing more drinks from around the globe to offering greater incentives to our customers.

After speaking with VIP Bottles I know that I will definitely be ordering from them for my next special occasion.. Prices are also more than reasonable which is always a bonus. Something I am keen to try is their Absolut Wild Tea at only £19.99. or their Grey Goose Le Melon at £44.99. For chances to win in their competitions then follow them on instagram or to make a purchase then head over to www.vipbottles.co.uk

MADDISON

Girls.. Just wow. I have stumbled upon a new online shop that I absolutely adore so felt I just HAD to write about it.. Up and coming Maddison is for "the dreamers, fairies and free spirits".. Now doesn't that just sound dreamy and like you want to run and jump on a cloud?
The clothes on this website are unique and SHINY! Although there's not millions to choose from (as they are pretty brand new) what they do have is top quality and you wont see every other byotch wearing it when you go out OUT. An absolute personal favourite of mine is the Carribbean Rope tie-up top, with its champagne coloured sequins it ties around the back, and exposes a bit of back skin, kinky huh? Their clothes seem to be quite tight fitting so perfect if your looking for something attention grabbing! Like I have mentioned in previous blogs, I am always up for supporting new businesses and this is one that I feel strongly about! They will have a new line coming out soon called "Egyptian Fairy collection".. Two of the most perfect things combined! Looks like a lot of glistening fabrics that will go with pretty much anything. Try teaming one of their backless tops with a black or nude midi skirt for the perfect evening wear. To see more of their products on some of their customers check out their instagram @maddisons_e ..
Their prices are reasonable looking at around £50 for a dress and £30-£40 for a top!
But that's a cheap price to pay for unique style!

Dogs 'N' Dough

This is my first and probably only ever foodie review but I feel so strongly about this diner that I felt that I just HAD to write a blog about it!!

Me and my other half stumbled across this beauty of a place whilst wandering around Manchester in search of a watering hole in December 2013! With a very discreet neon sign on Bow Street where it is located, Dogs N Dough is the most perfect place to eat, drink and catch up with friends. On our first visit, we walked down the stairs towards the basement to find an American style diner in a wonderfully decorated basement-y area. We first went in for drinks (before we knew it served food) and the bar staff were just amazing. They recommended drinks from their cocktail menu that suited our taste.. My personal favourite is a Lipstick Jungle (Vodka, Strawberry, Lemon and Maple).. For Bourbon lovers they do a great Old Fashioned or New York sour, and for those that are brave, try a Blazing Saddle (Bourbon, Apple, Vermouth and Chilli)! They also do a wonderful cocktail called The Ron Burgundy.. Scotchy Scotch Scotch! Little tip.. Look out for their happy hour deals!

We then saw the food that they were carrying out, which looked and smelt divine (and it is a very rare occasion that I will use such a compliment). If you like pizza and hotdogs, then this is the place for you. Upon reading the menu at first, I was slightly confused, I didn't know if it was a pizza or just a dish, for example "The Triple Threat" which is Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries.. Which is actually all of that, but on a pizza. What I have usually ordered when eating there is the Macaroni and Cheese with Bacon on pizza, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.. Another absolute winner is "The Taco Pizza".. which includes Chilli Beef, Sour Cream, Lettuce and Doritos on a pizza. When eating this, Jonny said, and I quote.. "Whoever invented this deserves knighting". These pizzas literally make me never want to eat a Dominos again. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth then they do a Dessert pizza, which is based with Nutella then have a range of toppings you can stick on! Check out their website for more of the menu, anything that can go on a pizza, they will have put it on! Also, as I have previously mentioned, they do hot dogs aswell with pretty much the same idea, anything obscure will go on that hot dog. One of their best I think the Philli Steak Cheese hotdog (Steak, Crispy Shallots, BBQ sauce, Peppers and Cheese), what's not to love? Or how about The Colonel (Fried Chicken, Slaw and BBQ sauce) ALL ON A HOT DOG! I cant get over how impressive and inventive it is, all the dishes are well presented and the taste is like nothing I have ever had before. If your not after something too filling then they also do bar snacks such as Cheese Fries, Nachos and Onion Rings.

Like I said, this is probably the only food review I will ever do, but I try to make a trip to this place everytime I go to Manchester, and plan to go a lot more in the future! For more information, check out their website http://www.dogsndough.com/ or for pictures of their deliciousness then have a look at their Twitter @dogsndough

The Power Brow

Firstly, too all (if any) of my regular readers, I apologise that I haven't blogged in almost a month! I have had the busiest Christmas ever but plan to do a blog on what I have been doing shortly (including my amazing trip to NYC) but I was just so excited to write about my new favourite product and to share my review with you!

Now I think everyone knows how important it is to get your eyebrows correct if you are going to draw them on. I have seen some absolute horrors floating about, so I think finding the tools that suit you best is imperative to get your perfect shape and colour. Unfortunately, as you will see in my pictures below, my natural eyebrows are pretty non-existent which is rather annoying having dark brown hair, so I have tried a few different products to get something that suits me best. I used to use a Maybelline pencil, which I became pretty tired of because the led was forever snapping so I was buying a new one pretty much every week. I then moved onto Benefit BrowZing which I adored but towards the end of its use, the wax became quite thick and the brushes weren't as slick despite washing them regularly etc. But I would use BrowZing as a quick fix in the morning to save time.

I've been following Anastasia Beverley Hills on Instagram for a while now but have never seen her products in the UK (although I may have been looking in the wrong places), but I didn't want to order it online because it can be risky with the colour/texture etc. BUT to my amazement, I was in a little Superdrug like shop in New York when on my way to the till I saw the Anastasia Beverley Hills range.. I even let out  a little squeal. Knowing what products I already liked from Instagram, I picked up the Dipbrow Pomade (Medium Brown) and the Dipbrow Brush (#12). There are other eyebrow brushes you can use but this one came recommended with the Dipbrow pot. The Dipbrow make-up cost around £15 and the brush was about £12 so really good price for the both.

It is scary not knowing how to apply an eyebrow especially since if it goes wrong, then it goes really wrong. On the Instagram +AnastasiaBeverlyHills it shows you step by step how to apply the Dipbrow product which I have found really useful and have shown pictures below how I apply it step by step.

Using the angled brush end, I draw the outer line below the brow, above the arch and join in at the end corner leaving the wider end open for blending. I then use the bristle end to fill in the brow starting from the open end working it towards the closed corner, which gives it a more natural look. I then use the angled end again to work the shape of the open end, making sure that this end matches with the corner of my eye (to avoid that monobrow look!) Also helps to give you that really prominent brow with a professional finish! I would give this product a massive 9/10.. best eyebrow product I have bought by far but there is always room for improvement!

Keep your eyes peeled for my up and coming blogs including a guide to New York, my highlights of 2014 and what I have planned for 2015 (including my new hobby!)
