Forever Living Review

I have literally been looking forward to writing this review for the past 7 days. Last week I received a package from a girl in the local Preston area called El Mac. She sent me a parcel with some of the products that she is selling called "Forever Living". Forever Living is the worlds biggest organic Aloe Vera & Bee Keeper company. They cold press their Aloe Vera using their own patented process to keep it fresh and pure, which I can assure you, shows in the quality of the products.

I couldn't have received these products at a better time.. As mentioned in my previous blog, I had been rather poorly and days of blowing your nose doesn't exactly improve your skin! My nose was flaky, my skin felt dry and tight which isn't really a good look for anyone. I was also feeling rather groggy and lethargic, so I was praying that the Bee Pollen tablets would do as they said! El assured me that these products would work their magic, and at that point, I was willing to give anything a try.

The first product I used for my skin was the Aloe Vera Gelly. Prior to using this, I cleansed my skin and patted it dry with a towel for the best results. It is a topical, clear gel which soothes scars, calms irritation/abrasions and is great for spot breakouts. Essentially identical to the Aloe Vera’s inner leaf and contains 100% stabilised Aloe Vera gel. I used a pea sized amount morning and night concentrating on the driest areas. Also, as the gel claims to soothe scars, I ensured to massage it into my cheeks, as mentioned in previous blogs, I have quite bad scaring from my teenage skin! I am pleased to say, that even after 1 day I saw an improvement in my skin. 9/10

Directly after using the Aloe Vera Gelly, I used the Aloe Propolis Crème. It contains Propolis which is the antibacterial solution bees produce to keep their hives sterile. It's a rich deep moisturising lotion, great for dry skin, spot breakouts, a general facial moisturiser and for anyone who suffers with eczema or psoriasis. Again, I used a pea sized amount, and this spread really easily and smelt gorgeous! This Propolis crème worked wonders paired with the Aloe Vera Gelly, my skin has never felt so soft.. And I am not just saying that for this review! In winter, my skin is normally horrific and no skin products have worked the wonders that these 2 have! I will definitely be investing in future. 9/10

Another product that El sent me was the Forever Bee Pollen tablets. These contain pure bee pollen, honey, stearic acid and royal jelly. Now normally in the morning at work, I have 1 herbal tea and then 1 coffee for the energy boost... But as these tablets claim to give you a natural boost, I decided to give them a try. I took 1 every morning for the past week, and I found myself not needing my usual routine coffee! Although I wasn't bouncing off the walls, it seemed to knock my caffeine craving and I wasn't nodding off during meetings! The label does say to eventually increase the intake to 2/3 a day, but so far all I need is the 1! And they are 100% natural ingredients.. So it's not any of that rubbish you are putting into your body like other energy boosting tablets! 7/10

The final product I was kindly given was Forever Bright Toothgel. This is a natural whitening toothpaste with no nasty bleaching agents, fights plaque and keeps gums healthy. El said to use for seven days straight to see the difference, which I did! I actually noticed that my teeth are slightly whiter. I didn't exactly have discoloured teeth to begin with but I can confidently say that I am starting to resemble Simon Cowell, minus the dodgy chest hair. The colour of the toothpaste did make me question it at first (quite a strong green colour) but it tasted minty fresh, and like I said, I have noticed the difference in colour after just 1 week.. Think the results it could give after persistent use! It matches up to the standards of other leading tooth whitening products in my opinion. 8/10

If you like the sounds of these products then head over to www.foreverlivingwithel.myforever.biz/store .. I promise you, it is value for money and you know that your not putting any nasty chemicals into your body! Notice the difference in just 7 days.. Thankyou El for introducing me to the products.. I hope we can collaborate again in the future!

Keep it simple stupid

So I haven't blogged in like a week but I have been majorly busy with the Christmas festivities quickly approaching and I have also been full of the flu (again).. I am off work today feeling very sorry for myself, rocking the sexy "tissue shoved up my nose" look in bed over-dosing on Ibuprofen and Jeremy Kyle.

Anyway, the past 2 weekend I have been on two lovely nights out where I haven't had to dress too fancy but still wanted to look nice. So I went for the KISS approach. This is an acronym that I learnt at college in my Business class.. Keep It Simple Stupid. I think it is pretty self explanatory but keeping your outfit simple can have the biggest effects and can sometimes been the most
aesthetically pleasing.

Night one was date night with Jonathan, we went to Blackburn to see Jimmy Carr. It was such a good night despite Jimmy being 2 hours late, but he made up for it by buying everyone in the audience a drink. I also had the honour of Jimmy taking the mick out of me.. I shant go into any further detail as it was rather embarrassing. This evening, I decided that the basis of my outfit was going to be my over knee black boots from MissGuided, and because it was ruddy freezing I wanted to cover up a bit more skin than I normally would. I teamed by boots with my River Island skinny jeans, my mesh detail black polo top from Topshop (which was a bargain by the way at around £15) and finally my white sleeveless blazer from Daisy Lane which one lady in the toilets was asking me where I had got this from!

The second weekend I had my works doo.. And although in previous blogs I had mentioned wearing my ox-blood silk jumpsuit, I later found out that this doo was a lot more casual so decided to wear something completely different. Again, going with the KISS theory I decided to wear my ripped skinny jeans from Topshop and wore the classic kami top from ASOS and black boyfriend blazer from Primark. I was actually very glad that I wore this because we ended up doing a bit of a pub crawl prior to the doo so it kept me a bit warmer than my strappy jumpsuit would have.. I also looked a bit more professional as all the big wigs were going to be at the doo! The doo was at a pub in Preston which had a free bar.. As you can imagine, things escalated very quickly and I woke up with a very sore head and a bag full of condiments.. I don't even want to know.

I am waiting on a parcel delivery from the lovely El Mac who is sending me some of her products to review including skin care and energy boosting vitamins.. Keep you eyes peeled for the next blog coming soon!
